How long is it before I can post replies on the forum?
Activation of your account may take anything up to 48 hours.
How will I know that my account has been activated?
To activate your account we will contact you by email. All you will need to do is respond to our email. As soon as we receive your email your account will be activated. Will we send you a further confirmation email letting you know your account has been activated.
How do I change details in my user account?
To ensure all data on our users is kept private and secure we dont allow access to the details you provided however please notify us if you change address, email, or telephone numbers and we will make the changes for you.
What do you do with my personal information?
We hold your personal information so that we can identify who is making posts and ensure the integrity of who is using the forum. This helps us prevent abusive posts and indivisuals from using our forum less constructively. We may also use membership statistics as part of our annual report, such as amount of threads and topics posted and how many members our forum has.
Topics
How do I post a topic for discusssion?
To add a topic for discussion you must first ensure you are logged in to the forum. Secondly select a subcategory from the forum such as 'Tarbert Church' or 'Tarbert Castle' that you wish to add a topic to. Now you should see the 'Add Topic For Discussion' button at the top of the forum page. Simply select this button and complete the details to add a topic for discussion.
How do I remove a topic I added?
Once you have added a topic you will be unable to remove it. If you have just added a topic and there are no replies then please contact and we will remove the topic for you. If there are replies to the topic that you placed we will remove the topic and all associated posts at our discretion.
Replies
How do I post a reply to a topic?
To reply to a topic you must first ensure
you are logged in to the forum. Secondly select a subcategory from the
forum such as 'Tarbert Church' or 'Tarbert Castle' that you wish to reply
to. Select the topic that you want to discuss or reply too and you should
then see the 'Add Reply To This Topic' button at the top of the page.
Simply select this button and complete the details to add the reply to
the post.
How do I remove a previous post?
Once you have posted a response you will be unable to remove it. If you have written something you may regret or have made mistakes please contact us by email. We will be able to remove your post or edit the post at our discretion once reported.
Unregistering
How do I unregister?
If you no longer wish to use our forum and would like your user account deleted or de-activated then please contact us by email and we will do that for you.
If I unregister can I use the forum again?
You may contact us and ask us to de-activate your account which means that it can be activated again at a later date if you wish to re-use your account. If however you unregister then you will have to re-register to use our forum again.
